PROF DR IUR. GERHARD JANSSEN, LL.B.

Prof Dr Gerhard Janssen is a founding Director of Janssen + Maluga Legal. He is admitted to the Bar in Germany as a Rechtsanwalt (German Lawyer) as well as in Western Australia as a Solicitor and advises under German and Australian Law.

Gerhard is an Honorary Professor of the University of Paderborn, Germany, for the faculties of Economic and Media Sciences. He is also an Adjunct Professor for International Media Law at Murdoch University, Perth. In addition, Gerhard is an accredited specialist lawyer for German Criminal law.

Gerhard brings more than two decades of extensive experience successfully advising, negotiating and litigating complex corporate matters as well as defending major criminal cases (capital markets; tax law; white collar crime) on behalf of corporations and private clients to his law firm.

One of the main pillars of Gerhard’s advisory work consists of (international) catastrophic injury cases, including those with cross-border jurisdiction between Germany and Australia.

Gerhard is also the Chief Executive Officer of Martin BioPower Pty Ltd, Perth.
